Farmind Corporation (Head Office: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo; President and CEO: Tatsuo Horiuchi; hereafter, “Farmind”) was pleased to announce that PFC Nagano Corporation (hereafter, PFC Nagano), which was established to launch a new production and sales business with Federation of Agricultural Cooperative Associations (Head Office: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo: Representative Director: Sakae Noguchi; hereafter, “ZEN-NOH”) started its operations.
PFC Nagano is a specialized center for fruits and vegetables in production areas, which has the function to pre-refrigerate and store maintaining optimum freshness and packaging work to meet the demands of consumers.
The functions of PFC Nagano as a stock point in production areas, the Farmind Group's nationwide comprehensive fruit and vegetable distribution platform, and the Zenno Group's network of producers rooted in the region will organically leverage synergies to realize a stable supply of domestic fruits and vegetables and more efficient logistics through a comprehensive and efficient cold chain network.
Based on Farmind’s corporate philosophy of "linking farmers with consumers", Farmind will continue to strengthen the supply system of fruits and vegetables in Japan and overseas and improve the quality through its nationwide cold chains, deliver fresh and delicious fruits and vegetables from farms to consumers, and contribute to the development of domestic and overseas fruits and vegetables distribution from various perspectives.
