Processing systems employing proprietary processing technologies
Farmind leads the Japanese produce industry with the nation’s largest processing capacity for bananas and other fruits. At least one third of the bananas in stores throughout Japan today were processed by Farmind.
This success is the result of customer trust earned through such accomplishments as the long shelf lives resulting from our quality control technologies, smooth ordering and delivery procedures, and stable prices achieved by holding down operating costs. We have responded appropriately to the growing interest in environmental and health issues in recent years by processing organic bananas and other organic agricultural products, for which demand is expanding.
* In 2014 we processed some 36%, or 24.4 million cases (approx. 840,000 tons) of the bananas imported into Japan (1 case = 13 kg). Farmind banana color chart
