13 members of California public-private partnership project "California Grown", secretary of the California Department of Food and Agriculture and others, visit Farmind Aomi center
Farmind Corporation (Headquarter: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo; President and CEO: Tatsuo Horiuchi; hereafter "Farmind"), establishing a nationwide comprehensive fruits and vegetables cold chain network, received California Grown(CA GROWN) visit and showed them around Farmind Aomi center.
CA GROWN, established by the Federal Government of the United States and the State of California, aims to promote sales of California-based agricultural products worldwide.
This time CA GROWN visited Farmind Aomi center for deepening understanding of Japanese cold chain network. The members are totally 13 representatives, Ms. Karen Ross, secretary of the California Department of Food and Agriculture, and other representatives of Assembly and the agricultural organizations and others.
After receiving the explanation about Farmind proprietary banana ripening technology, centrally managed in-center operation in appropriate temperature ranges, the secretary Ross mentioned "It was impressive to combine higher-efficiency automation and digitization and the manual operation by the skilled work. It is reassuring that Japanese advanced technologies and distribution supports the fruits and vegetable produced in California."California has the largest sales of agricultural products in the United States and exports citrus and other agricultural products to Japan. California is also main supplier for Farmind in Orange, Easypeel, Lemon, and Mellow Gold business.
Through receiving this visit, Farmind will further strengthen the relationship of trust with California government, agricultural officials, and expand the sales of California fruits.
