Farmind Corporation (Headquarter: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo; President and CEO: Tatsuo Horiuchi; hereafter "Farmind") takes an action to provide the steady supply of high-quality fruits and vegetables and to develop Japanese agriculture.
On 8th February 2023, Farmind original brand product "Amaka Carrot" won the Gold Award at "Vegetable Sommelier Summit" in the vegetables and fruits section, in February 2023, sponsored by the "Japanese Vegetable Sommelier Association". It was evaluated of its soft and sweet pulp and delicious flavor like fruits.
Farmind has a deep felt to deliver fresh and delicious carrots to customers who hate carrots, especially to children and began development in 2008. When it was launched in November 2011, it could be provided only in the fall/winter period. After co-working with farmers to ensure a stable supply throughout the year without compromising quality, Farmind was finally able to provide as a full-year product.
This time, Farmind entered this summit because it would like to convey its valuable deliciousness to consumers by fair evaluation by experts and also felt sympathy with the objectives of this summit, aiming to further enhance the value of agricultural products.
"Amaka Carrot" is a series of products that satisfy 3 selection criteria, ① a red-core variety with a good taste, ② no bitterness,③ no carrots smell, and is selected from 9 prefectures nationwide and delivered with production relays.
Therefore, even if the production area changes, it can be provided with the same taste that does not change through the year.
