Speech at the "Miyazaki Agricultural Distribution DX Promotion Council Training Meeting" to solve "2024 Logistics Issues"
On 1st February, 2023, Atsushi Abe, director of All Japan Line Inc. (Headquarters: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo, President: Akihiro Shimodo) in Farmind group, delivered a speech in the "2023 Miyazaki Agricultural Logistics DX Promotion Council Training Meeting".
The "Miyazaki Agricultural Logistics DX Promotion Council" was established in 2020 by cooperation of agricultural and related organizations in Miyazaki Prefecture, for establishing a sustainable agricultural logistics system against the backdrop of various logistics issues associated with the enforcement of Work style reform law, so-called "2024 Logistics Issues". This seminar was held as a forum to invite experts to learn about the situation, issues, and examples of activities surrounding the agricultural logistics for helping promote measures in the future.
In the lecture entitled "Integrated Logistics, a combined transportation network for fruits and vegetables", Mr. Abe explained the outline of Farmind group and its comprehensive fruits and vegetables platform. Also, as a solution to the problem of long-distance transportation brought by the upper limit of driver’s overtime work by the enforcement of the Work style reform law, he stated that Farmind group would promote long-distance transportation using Farmind 14 processing and distribution centers for vegetables and fruits nationwide as relay bases for distribution networks. In this promotion, Farmind group can realize sustainable long-distance transportation and deliver small lots to multiple delivery destinations. Through collecting and combining a variety of vegetables and fruits at the center, Farmind group also can realizes the improvement in loading ratio and "Integrated logistics" system that can reduce transportation costs.
Farmind group will protect the working environment of drivers, realize a rational, efficient, and sustainable logistics network and provide logistics solutions to overcome "2024 Logistics Issues", by further strengthening our comprehensive fruits and vegetables platform, which provides functions and services to connect fruits and vegetables distribution from upstream to downstream, which is mainly consisted of processing centers and logistics network nationwide.
